PARTNERS 

The consortium consists of universities, private sector companies and public sector institutions following the interest to develop methods in regard to drought management and water use efficiency and is embedded in a local and international network addressing climate monitoring and drought management.

The Institute for Technology and Resources Management at Colonge University of Applied Sciences, the manufacturer of high-quality hydrometry measuring equipment SEBA GMBH & Co. KG and the software company Ribeka GMBH & Co. KG together elaborate a system to assess and improve water use efficiency on irrigation and river basin level.
The Chilean research institutions CEAZA and the Department of Agricultural Sciences of the University of La Serena are fostering and carrying out water resources research in the region since decades and provide their support and knowledge to the partners.
The relationship between the irrigation associations in the Limarí, regional+national government institutions and the research institutions has a long and close tradition as water is the key resource for irrigated agriculture and hence their main income generating activity.
